Electro / electric galvanized wire, also known as cold galvanised wire. Electroplating is achieved by placing the zinc ingots and wire in a liquid bath energized at a current. Under the magnetic field, the zinc atoms lose electrons to become ions, free out of the zinc block, gradually adsorbed onto the steel wire object to be plated. Cold galvanized layer is extremely thin, usually only 3-15 microns. Gi wires electro zinc plated is also called light galvanised wire.
Hot dipped galvanized wire also known as thermal zinc plating galvanizing wire. Thermal zinc plating or hot dip plating is made by placing the steel wire immersed in a liquid bath of hot melt zinc. The zinc layer is formed through intense high-temperature chemical reaction process. Hot-dip galvanizing layer is thick, the minimum thickness is 45 microns, maximum up to 300 microns. Hot dipped zinc plated wire is also called heavily galvanised wire, it offers better corrosion resistance, compared with lightly galv. wire.
Zinc + Aluminum coated gi wire, also known as Galfan galv. wire, or Galfan wire
Galfan wire is coated with a zinc-aluminum layer of Zn-95%/Al-5%, or Zn-90%/Al-10%. In galfan coating, aluminum is added to the traditional zinc galvanising process for increased corrosion protection compared with pure zinc coating. Galfan wire offers superior corrosion resistance over electro galvanized wire and HDG wires.
PVC coated wire, or powder coated wire, is steel wire with double corrosion protection. Galvanized wires can be coated with pvc, poly, vinyl to become Powder Coated Wire. PVC and vinyl powder coated wires have super corrosion resistance, durability and more color choices.

It is produced by hot dipped aluminum coating, immersing in molten aluminum. Alu coated wire is a high strength wire product suitable for outdoor applications: power distribution and data transmission support wires, chain link fencing wire, electric fence wire, horse fencing wire.
Copper / Brass coated steel wires
Copper coated wires, flat type, are used for stitching wire (0.7mm x 1.7 mm(TxW)
